About Tom Woodruff Signature Homes, Midland Texas

Who are we?

We're Brenda and Tom Woodruff, owners of Tom Woodruff Signature Homes L.L.C.. We both grew up in Midland and graduated from Midland High School. In 1973 we married, and Brenda successfully supported Tom through Texas A&M University where he obtained a B.S. degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He did graduate studies in Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington.

Tom Worked as an Aeronautical Engineer for the Vought Corporation in Dallas and spent time on assignment at the Johnson Space Center at Houston. After working as a consultant at Boeing Aircraft for a year in Seattle, Tom and Brenda moved back to Midland to work in the family business, Woodruff Drywall Systems, Inc., and raise their family.

We began Tom Woodruff Signature Homes L.L.C., our custom home construction business in 1993. Brenda is President of the home building company and Tom is Vice President.

Through the years Brenda has been active in several civic and community organizations. She has served as a PTA director has been active in The Boy Scouts of America program, Midland Cotillion and Professional Women. Tom has served on the PTA, Lions Club, Buffalo Trail Council - Boy Scouts of America board of Directors. He was a two term President of the Permian Basin Home Builders Association and a director for both National Home Builders Association and Texas State Association of Builders. Both are graduates of Leadership Midland, a development program for community volunteers.
